The Discovery Room is a self-guided hands-on early childhood environment where children (ages 6 months to 6 years) and their adults learn and play together. The exhibits, toys, and experiences are designed to encourage inquiry and exploration of beginning science, math, and engineering concepts. Some of the activities include water play, painting on the STEAM easel, saltwater aquarium observation, rocket ship with a slide, magnet wall, dramatic play, and building.
Adults do need a ticket. At least one adult must participate with every 4 children’s tickets purchased. Children may not be left unattended in the Discovery Room without an adult.
Sessions last 60 minutes each and take place Thursday through Mondays at 10:00am, 11:30am and 1:15pm. Additional times on the weekends take place at 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm.
A $3.50 Service Fee is included in all transactions and helps us maintain our online services.
