Hispanic Carnival at the Sheldon

In collaboration with the Hispanic Festival Inc., The Sheldon presents the music, dance, food, and art of carnival in a free, family-friendly event. Enjoy dance performances, create a colorful mask and maracas, and parade down Washington Boulevard with music and costumes representing many Hispanic cultures. Learn about carnival with display costumes and music for the whole family!
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

Instruments and Carnival outfits representing many Hispanic cultures will be on display!

Activities include:

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Dance performances by: David Clark Confluencia, Sol Azteca Folklorica, Danza Folklorica Futuro St. Louis/Venezuela, Alma de Mexico, Panamá Pacifico, The Dance Society of Saint Louis, St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society, BailaMe Academy, and Sabor Caribeño

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Face painting

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Crafts

12:00 p.m. Family parade down Washington Boulevard
