Teddy & Friends Unlimited Play Playground Grand Opening at Queeny Park

Join us for the grand opening of Teddy & Friends Unlimited Play Playground at Queeny Park on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
The playground is named after Teddy Gooch, a 9-year-old boy with dwarfism whose story inspired the community to come together and build something amazing. The project is led by the nonprofit Unlimited Play, with generous support from the Gooch family. Many local families and businesses also contributed generously to help raise the funds needed to create a space where children of all abilities can play side by side.
This project involves replacing the 1974 playground at Queeny Park with a custom, board game-themed inclusive play space, centered on games like Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, Connect Four, and Teddy’s favorite, Chess.
With a board game theme and specialized ADA‑accessible design, families, especially those with children of differing abilities, will have more reasons than ever to Build Together and Play Together this summer.
