Pre-Shabbat in the Park at Faust Park

Chabad of Chesterfield is delighted to announce the launch of a special new program for the community — Pre-Shabbat Kids in the Park. This five-week series is designed to bring families together in a joyful, hands-on way to celebrate the spirit of Shabbat through fun, creativity, and meaningful experiences.
Beginning Friday, May 2 at 4:30 PM and continuing weekly on May 9, 16, 23, and 30, families are invited to join us at the beautiful Faust Park for an uplifting program that blends Jewish tradition with the magic of childhood. Set in a lively and welcoming atmosphere, Pre-Shabbat Kids in the Park will feature a variety of exciting activities that allow children to explore the themes of Shabbat in a fun and interactive way.
Each session will include hands-on challah shaping, allowing children to create their very own traditional Shabbat bread, as well as arts and crafts projects inspired by the beauty and meaning of Shabbat. In addition, children will get to experience a warm and inviting Shabbat environment, filled with music, games, and group activities that promote community spirit, friendship, and Jewish pride.
Chabad Youth of Chesterfield is so excited to offer this program to the Chesterfield community. “Our goal is to create a space where children can feel the joy of Shabbat in a way that’s tangible and fun. Together, we’ll sing, dance, craft, shape challah, and most importantly, build lasting memories that connect us to each other and to our heritage.”
Whether you’re a longtime member of the community or just discovering Jewish life in Chesterfield, this program is a wonderful way to engage with Jewish traditions in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Pre-Shabbat Kids in the Park is open to the public, and families of all backgrounds are warmly welcome.
