Friday, May 9
Carnival rides and games: 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Enjoy a variety of rides for all ages. Tickets are required for rides and range from two to four tickets per ride. Ride tickets are $1.25 each or $20 for 22 tickets. Look for the ticket booths inside the carnival area to purchase tickets. Tickets are cash only.
"The Goonies" Movie Night: 7:15 p.m.
Bring your blankets and chairs and find a space on Westport Plaza’s new greenspace. We’ll provide the popcorn as you relax under the stars to watch a showing of “The Goonies,” a classic movie released during the year of our incorporation – 1985. The Goonies is rated PG, but some scenes may be a bit intense for younger viewers.
Maryland Heights Treasure Hunt: 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
What better way to kick off our celebration than an epic treasure hunt, inspired by The Goonies! Start your adventure at the main entrance where you’ll receive a treasure map. Follow the map to various stations, picking up stickers along the way. Collect them all and return to the info booth to claim your pirate swag and enter our grand prize raffle. One lucky winner will take home a pirate’s chest filled with treasures!
The Cliff Climb: 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Take a Goonies-worthy adventure on the 25-foot rock climbing wall, provided by local climbing company Upper Limits. Climbing is provided free of charge with a signed waiver by a parent/guardian on location. (Weight limit: 30-300 lb)
Fireworks display: 9:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Enjoy a fireworks show from Westport Plaza’s greenspace (all ages) or 360-Westport at the top of the Gold Tower (ages 21+).
Saturday, May 10
Parade: 10:30 a.m. (Starting at Maryland Heights Government Center and traveling along Dorsett, Weldon Parkway, and Fee Fee Road past Westport Plaza)
Carnival Rides & Games:
Quiet Period (for those with sound sensitivities): 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Open to the Public: 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Opening Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. at Westport Plaza's Greenspace
Live Entertainment: 1:00 - 9:30 p.m. (Details coming soon!)
