Learn just how important freshly harvested wood was to frontier life at the Greenwood Festival from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at The Historic Daniel Boone Home. From hewing timber for building cabins, barns, and other structures to carving spoons for daily use, "greenwood" was found in so many aspects of life. This five-hour event features demonstrations including log splitting and hewing, peg making, riving, carving, and more! This free program is for all ages.
