Wilderness Whiz Kids: Wacky Walking Stick at Rockwoods Reservation

Want your child to be introduced to outdoor skills alongside building their creativity. Join us for our new Wilderness Whiz Kid Club! This class we will be working on knife safety as well as hiking tips. Come be creative along other kids who love the outdoors too!
We will create a wacky walking stick at Rockwoods Reservation. We will find the right size stick and participants will get to use age-appropriate tools to remove the barks, sand smooth and decorate with paint, rope, beads or feathers.
These fun and colorfully decorated hiking sticks will let your kids get creative and help get them excited to hit the trail.
No experience needed and we’ll provide all the materials necessary. Be prepared to take a large stick home at the end of the class.
Please register each participant separately. Parents who are only assisting do not need to register.
