The St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station is being invaded by Pirates and a spooky patch of magnificently carved pumpkins this fall.

Pirates & Pumpkins, a family adventure, opens September 12th through October 31, 2024, with special activities. Families will have the opportunity to "Trick or Treat" on Fridays & Saturdays from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm (Bags provided). Guests can expect to learn how to "talk like a pirate", learn your pirate name, meet a real-life Parrot, and enjoy pirate storytime.

The aquarium adventure is decked out with pirate-themed scenes, including a ghost ship with smoking and booming cannons. Guests will take a self-guided tour through a highly themed wonderland of treasure caves and grottos. Social media fans will love the Instagram-worthy photo opportunities throughout the transformed Aquarium during their journey.

Patches of realistically carved and lighted pumpkins representing the Aquarium's sea life will greet guests as they explore the attraction.

Guests follow pirate clues as they make their way through the marine habitats and hands-on animal adventures at the Aquarium. Along the way, discover amazing animal facts and pun-filled pirate jokes.

Only the bravest adventurers can sit at the Pirate King's Throne for a triumphant picture.

All this is included in the standard Aquarium entrance fee or Annual Pass!
