Hands on Heritage: Gourd Crafting at Historic Daniel Boone Home

Design the perfect holiday decoration this season at The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Paint a snowman or Santa Claus or create your own birdhouse with a gourd! Participants partake in the entire gourd crafting process – from scrubbing the gourd to preparing the surface for crafting. Participants should arrive at the 11 a.m. Please bring a lunch. Working times vary, but participants should allow for several hours to complete their gourds. Space is limited! The cost of the program is $5 per person; pre-registration is required. The program is held outdoors under a pavilion. Participants should prepare for cold or warm weather conditions and wear clothing that can get dirty.
