The Community Music School of Webster University (CMS) celebrates 100 years providing exceptional music education to students of all ages and skill levels since 1925. Individual lessons are at the heart of our mission, with over 90 dedicated instructors (85% holding advanced degrees) ensuring a perfect fit for every student.
CMS also offers early childhood music classes with the internationally recognized Kindermusik® curriculum, Piano Carnival group piano classes and a Beginner Piano for Elementary Students class. For an in-depth experience, the CMS Suzuki Strings program starts students as young as age 4, along with their parents, learning string instruments in individual lessons and group classes.
Other CMS programs include our sequential orchestra program for school-aged children (String Ensemble, String Orchestra, YPCO and YPSO), chamber music, including the Preparatory Program for advanced students, the CMS Jazz Collective, and summer programs. To learn more, please visit webster.edu/cms.
