

The Fenton Fire District offers a Child and Babysitting Safety Class designed for youth who are preparing to begin babysitting in the community. This class is provided through the Health & Safety Institute (HSI) and focuses on safety, responsibility, and confidence for young caregivers.
Participants will learn essential skills needed to care for children safely and effectively, including:
Basic first aid and injury prevention
How to respond to common emergencies
Personal safety and situational awareness
Age-appropriate caregiving responsibilities
Introduction to babysitting as a small business, including professionalism and communication.
This interactive course helps students build the knowledge and confidence needed to make safe decisions while caring for others. Upon successful completion of the class, each participant will receive an official certificate of completion from the Fenton Fire District.
