The Girls' Lives Online Study at Washington University School of Medicine is currently recruiting families with girls aged 10-11 for a research study about mental/physical health and online interaction. We are looking to understand how preteen girls interact with others online and/or on social media.
As part of our study, families will complete two weeks of at-home data collection before coming into our lab for a ~3 hour in-person assessment. In the two-week period, girls will answer questions on a smartwatch, fill out surveys, complete nightly daily diaries, and collect three saliva samples. Caregivers will also complete surveys. At the in-person lab visit, girls will play games and complete an EEG scan, clinical interview, and surveys. Caregivers will also complete surveys and a clinical interview.
This study has three annual visits, and participants will be compensated $250 per year for completing the study with a $50 completion bonus for the third year. Girls will also win prizes during their in-lab visit!
