Ferris Park was given to the City by the State of Missouri, to be used solely for park and recreation purposes. It was developed at a cost of $350,000.00 and includes a recreational field, outdoor fitness structure, playground, comfort station, nature trails, and a pavilion with a very unique picnic opportunity. With financial assistance from the local Lions Club, city crews constructed the gothic arch pavilion on a cedar deck some 15 feet above the forest floor.
