Educational Programs for Students
All programs are offered for groups Grade 4 to 12. Group size limited to 30 people.

Artifact Analysis: Take a look at the objects in the museums and fill out the sheet with your object and tell why it’s important to you.

Engage with History: Students look at several military objects over time and learn about how technology has changed and what it means for warfare.

What’s Going on Over There?: A look into newspapers and media and how they shaped World War I and II. Identify how the media impacts warfare and what we see on the home front.

Man the Defenses: Students build or draw their idea of a military base or fort. They talk about the differences with each other. Then, learn about how Jefferson Barracks differed from other military posts.

Which Way Do We Go?: In this program, participants draw their own map to a destination. Is it clear where you are going? Then students gain an understanding of map making and why it’s essential in The West.
