What makes you stand in awe of just how big God is? Is it when you gaze up into the massive limbs of a giant oak tree or when a summer breeze stirs a field of wildflowers into waves of color? Maybe it’s when you pause to take in a spectacular winter sunrise. All those things remind us of the greatness of God. But flip your perspective upside down and zoom in on the tiniest details of creation. Hold in your hand a tiny acorn that will someday become a giant oak. Bend down to sniff a wildflower and notice the delicate curl of a single petal. Observe the intricate design of a butterfly’s wings as it floats effortlessly in the sky and settles on your finger.

Magnified! VBS will encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises to us. We can praise God together! We were made to magnify God!

Children are also given the opportunity to participate in an exciting afternoon of martial arts, games, and fun at Magnified! Jiu-jitsu Camp following their mornings in VBS. Jiu-jitsu camp will be led by two black belt instructors from Gracie Barra Chesterfield who have a combined 25+ years of experience and are highly decorated competitors. This camp is perfect for active kids who love friendly competition. There are 50 spots available for the jiu-jitsu camp at a cost of $50.
