Interested in exploring college opportunities? Join with fellow high-school students from across the region for a high-impact, experienced based summer enrichment program. Fontbonne Faculty and staff from the College of Education and Allied Health will demonstrate and dazzle you with the many exciting professional opportunities in the fields of nursing and dietetics. Healthcare professionals in these disciplines are involved with the delivery of health services pertaining to the identification, evaluation, and prevention of diseases; dietary and nutrition services, among many others

Each Day is to begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m. Lunch will take place between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Nursing

Explore opportunities with the high-demand field of nursing. Experience real-life healthcare scenarios with our state-of-the-art simulation manikins. Rotate through stations and learn basic nursing skills, vital signs, and injections. Interact with nursing professionals from Fontbonne University

Dietetics

Review a nutrition assessment and client case study to understand how to plan a nutrition intervention. Discuss relationships with food and what “healthy” means. Participate in a cooking demonstration, gaining understanding of nutrition education and culinary education strategies. Describe three career paths for dietitians.
