Soulard School Summer Camps

At Camp Soulard, elementary students come together for a summer of games, field trips, water play, learning, and fun! Our weekly themed camps are a great way to spend an active summer with friends. Camp Soulard 2022 is all about games, as we tie classic board games to all kinds of activities. Join us as Jenga connects to engineering project challenges, or as Jumanji leads us on an urban campout on the playground.

Students will be provided morning and afternoon snacks but will need to bring a lunch daily.

Themes and Activities: See flyer for more details on weekly camp themes. Activities will include crafts, cooking projects, games, and lots of outside time, including a few outdoor field trips. At this time it looks unlikely that the indoor pool at Gene Slay's Girls and Boys Club will be open to us this summer, but we'll still find lots of ways to play in the water and stay cool!

Pillow fights, Shadow puppets, Sun print paper crafts & City Garden Field Trip

Week 2 : Pixie Dust 6/10 - 6/14
Fairy houses, Art and costuming with lots of glitter, Messy art projects & Art Museum Field Trip

Week 3 : Pirates of Neverland 6/17 - 6/21
Pirate themed activities, Water play, Walking the plank, Tie dye & Aquarium Field Trip

Week 4 : Food Fight 6/24 - 6/28
Cooking + baking, Cake decorating, Playdoh making, Block printing with vegetables & Botanical Gardens Field Trip

CLOSED WEEKS OF 7/1 & 7/8

Week 5 : Flying Kids 7/15 - 7/19
Paper airplanes, Catapults + trebuchets, Cape + wing craft projects & Science Center Field Trip

Week 6 : Escape from Captain Hook 7/22 - 7/26
Mazes, Obstacle courses, Hide-and-seek, Reptile studies & Zoo Field Trip

Week 7 : Treasure Hunt 7/29 - 8/2
Scavenger hunts, Map making, Geocaches & Forest Park Field Trip

Native plants, Hammocks, Fishing in Lafayette Park & Camp Out at School
