Novel Neighbor Summer Camps

Loads of book-themed fun where we'll do arts and crafts, play games, and have grand adventures! We'll spend most of our time in the store, but when the weather cooperates, we'll take a short walk to Lockwood Park.

Whodunnit?
Something is afoot at The Novel Neighbor! Put your sleuthing skills to the test as we work together to solve a mystery. Crafts and activities will highlight some of your favorite detectives from Nancy Drew to Geronimo Stilton to Sherlock Holmes.

Dogman and Friends
Calling all Supaheroes and Supabuddies! Each day we will feature fun activities, games and crafts based on our favorite Dav Pilkey characters.
Ages 6-9

LEGO Fairytale Challenge
Like to build with LEGOS? We will focus on building challenges based around Grimm’s fairy tales as well as have some time for free building activities.
Ages 8-11

We Love Bluey
Let’s celebrate our favorite Blue Heeler family with lots of fun games and activities!
Ages 5-9

Bugs! Bugs! Bugs!
Calling all bug lovers! If your kiddo loves the creeping, crawling critters, then this camp is for them. Participants will go on a bug hunt, learn about different types of bugs, make their own bugs, and more!
Ages: 6-10

Pigeon and Friends
No we won’t let Pigeon drive the bus but we will help him celebrate his friends! Each day we will focus on a different Mo Willems character with storytimes, art projects and other fun activities.
Ages 5-8
Date: July 8-12

Fairy Tales
Can you build a house out of straw? Think you can rescue someone from a tower? We will focus on one or two different fairy tales each day with stories, crafts and games.
Ages 5-9
Date: July 15-19

Poetry
A camp for young writers to learn all about poetry! We will explore the different forms of poetry. We will do poetry exercises, learn how to write a poem collaboratively, explore the editing process, and learn how to give constructive feedback. Writers will leave with a small portfolio of new writing and the confidence to write more!

Wizard School
Have you been waiting for an invitation to a magic school? We have scouted the best classes from the magic schools in some of our favorite book series. We will whip up some potions, care for some mythical creatures and much more.
Ages 9-12
Date: July 29-Aug 2

Camps run from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. There is no before or after care.
Campers will need to bring lunch, snacks and a water bottle every day.
Camp will have a minimum of 6 kids and a maximum of 16 kids.
