Urban Harvest Volunteer Days

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Urban Harvest STL! Volunteers play an essential role in ensuring that our farms are healthy and thriving so that we can meet our mission of growing fresh produce for those in our community who lack access to healthy options in their neighborhoods. There are several Community Days throughout the year to volunteer at different community locations.

Urban Harvest also offers apprenticeship programs. They last 8 weeks and run year round. Apprentices will learn a variety of urban farming skills and gain an understanding of the causes of food access disparities and solutions through weekly virtual lessons. They will shadow a member of our farm staff in daily operations across multiple farm sites. On the farms, our apprentices gain direct experience across the entire process of growing food, from building soil health to planting and harvesting crops.
