Lewis & Clark Branch

Lewis & Clark Branch

The Lewis & Clark Branch opened in October 2015. The new branch replaces the previous building, which had been in service since 1963. Notable features include a glass mural by St. Louis artist Cbabi Bayoc, which marks the entry to the children’s area. Discovery themed details such as the Big and Little Dipper made out of LED lights and two canoes retrofitted to be kid-sized furniture can be found in the children’s area. The iconic stained glass windows from the original building were restored and installed in the new building. They depict Sacajawea, Meriwether Lewis, and William Clark whose Corps of Discovery launched from a nearby riverbank.
