 1,500 spectators who come from all over the area to watch over 20 balloon p
 ilots compete in a race that is almost as exciting from the ground as it is
  in the air. <br /><br />The Balloon Glow offers spectators a breathtaking 
 view of inflated hot air balloons lighted by their burners. Once the balloo
 ns are up, we will open the field, inviting attendees to walk amongst the g
 lowing balloons, visit with pilots, snap photos, and be a part of the excit
 ement.  Concessions are available for purchase.<br /><br />The Balloon Glow
  is held at the New Haven City Park and is a walk-through event only — not 
 a drive-through event.  The Balloon Glow is free and open to the public.  <
 br /><br />Park Drive will be closed for both events, and spectators are en
 couraged to park on Lions Drive or in the New Haven High School and Municip
 al Swimming Pool parking lots.<br /><br />Fri, Sept. 25<br />Balloon Glow -
  6:30-8:30 p.m.<br /><br />Saturday, Sept. 26<br />Balloon Race - 3-5 p.m.
