 with the St Louis County Veterans Coalition, VFW, VFW Auxiliary, American L
 egion, 1st Marine Division Association, Vietnam Veterans of America, Korean
  War Veterans of America, Police and Fire Departments, and Boy Scouts of Am
 erica will jointly host a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 25th at the 
 James J. Eagan Center. The ceremony will start at 9 a.m.\n\nMemorial Day is
  a solemn day of remembrance for everyone who has died serving in the Ameri
 can Armed Forces. The holiday, originally known as Decoration Day, started 
 after the Civil War to honor the Union and Confederate dead and has continu
 ed each year since 1868.\nPlease join our North County Community in honorin
 g our fallen service men and women at a Memorial Day Observance. It is an o
 utdoor event at the Flag Pole and Memorial to all service men and women. Th
 ere is limited seating available, but you are welcome to bring chairs, and 
 it is handicapped accessible.
