AstroInnovators Camp
Think like NASA innovators during this program. How might space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem on Earth? How might robotic arms help make our world a better place? With the spark of an idea, a design notebook & common objects, teams will create mini pasta rovers, end effectors, and more. For campers entering 1st through 5th.

Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look look at crime scenes! "Make It" Camp
Roll up your sleeves, put on your makers cap, and get ready to create! This is our most hands-on camp! Who can build the strongest bridge that withstands the shake rattle and roll challenge? Explore the world of birds and beasts with birdhouse building. Investigate what an owl eats. Mix, mash, and brew concoctions to create cool sidewalk chalk and bath fizzers.

Earth and Space Investigators
Discover the world around you as you investigate everything from the earth below to the skies above. Explore nature around you and find out how science can help us to protect our planet. Contemplate communication as you converse in codes. Experience how Newton's laws are at work in your favorite sports and join the ranks of space scientists examining the

AstroInnovators
Campers use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut and solve real-world engineering problems using spinoff technology, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They propose answers to questions like “How could space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth? How could robotic arms help make our world a better place?”

Rocketry Camp
It's an action-packed week focused entirely on rockets and the physics of rocket flight! After learning the model rocket safety code, campers will build different types of rockets and participate in rocket launches during the week-long program. Children will be divided into three groups: altitude trackers, launch preparers, and launchers.

The Nuts and Bolts of Robots
Embark on a week of exhilarating robot exploration made just for kids! Get ready to be awed as we delve into the fascinating world of robotics. Throughout the week, you'll accumulate a wealth of knowledge and skills which you’ll use to create your own working robot to take home with you. It's a week filled with exploration, excitement, and the chance to become a budding robotics expert!

From our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program for children ages 5-12 sends them on a quest for exploration! Little Green Thumbs
Preschool Camp
Give your preschooler a green thumb without using paint! Campers will learn about plants by dissecting seeds, making leaf rubbings and creating frameable fruit and veggie prints. Learn what types of weather are vital for a healthy garden. Put on your Bee-utiful Bug Costume and flutter by the camp as you learn about one of a flower's favorite pollinators! FAQ
Who are the Mad Science camp instructors?
Mad Science instructors tend to be college students pursing an education or science degree, former/retired teachers, or teachers on summer break. All of our instructors have experience working with large groups of elementary-aged children and have undergone an extensive background check.
+What is the child to instructor ratio?
The child to instructor ratio varies depending on enrollment. We have up to 20 children in a camp with one instructor and one assistant.
+Are different aged children in the same camp?
Yes. A few of our camps are divided by age, but, for the most part, they are not. We, at times, use a buddy system where, if required, the older children help the younger ones. Also, our low child to instructor ratio ensures that there is always plenty of help.
+Do you offer extended care?
Yes, at some of our camps. Pre and post care may be provided by our host locations. These locations are are indicated with an asterisk on our registration page. You will need to contact the partner-host location directly to secure arrangements for extended care.
+What is your refund/cancellation policy?
If you register through us directly: There is a $25 drop fee if cancelled 30+ days before camp. There is a $50 drop fee if cancelled 8-30 days before camp. No refunds are given less than 8 days before camp. If your child does not enjoy camp after attending the first day, you may withdraw before the start of the second camp day.
+What should my child bring/wear to camp?
Mad Science provides all the equipment and materials. All you need to provide is a child who is ready to have fun! Children should dress comfortably for that day's weather and not wear open-toed shoes as we do some activities outside. For full-day camps, send a lunch. For all camps, a water bottle and a snack or two are recommended.
+Is this an outdoor camp?
Most of the camp day is spent inside. However, we will go outside to play games or do activities (like launch a rocket!). Our instructors do keep a close eye on the weather and will limit outdoor time when the temperature is high.
