We strive to make each yoga class and session safe, empowering, gentle, structured, fun and creative. While kids' yoga classes use asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath),the additional incorporation of art, music, games, and other creative activities help produce a fun and lasting yoga practice for youth that is very different from adult yoga classes. Each class utilizes all the senses and includes activities to create both mindfulness and intentional noise. Classes focus on how poses and activities feel in our bodies, rather than what they look like. We ensure safe practice, but do not stress "proper alignment" in a way that might increase self-consciousness or anxiety. Class sizes are purposely kept small, with 1-6 participants being the norm.
