2024 WashU Women's Basketball Elite Camp

Competitive camp geared towards highly skilled student-athletes who aspire to play basketball at WashU. Open to 10th-12th graders and those doing a postgrad year.

Ages: Grades 10th-12th & postgrads
Dates: June 8th or July 27th  /  9am – 4pm
Registration Fee: $125 
**Discounts for Teams/Groups of 10 or more are available. Discount rate would be $95/athlete for these groups.**

Overview
The WashU Elite Basketball Camp is a competitive basketball program geared towards experienced players with solid fundamental skills who want a rigorous basketball training with one of the nation's top basketball programs. Skill development and assessment, team competition, individual development and campus/athletic facility tours are the focuses of this Camp. Lunch and a T-shirt will also be provided to the participants of this camp!

Overview

The Women's Basketball Youth Camp is grouped by age, and skill level. All activities will be conducted inside the beautiful air-conditioned facilities of the Washington University in St. Louis Athletic Complex and the Sumers Recreation Center.

Members of the Washington University Basketball staff will provide fundamental teaching while college players and high school coaches will serve as camp counselors. To assure the best possible teaching environment. A WashU camp T-shirt will also be provided at the conclusion of this camp!


Location and Facilities
The camp sessions will be held in the Varsity Gym of the Athletic Complex at the west end of the Danforth campus of Washington University in St. Louis. Access is off of Forsyth Boulevard, one block east of Big Bend Boulevard.  More detailed directions will be sent prior to the start of camp. 

Staff
The camp is conducted by the Washington University basketball coaches. The camp staff includes members of the Washington University women's basketball team.

Insurance
Each camper must provide their own medical insurance for emergency medical care. Please check with your provider to make sure your child is covered for this activity. Insurance information and guardian consent signatures must be completed on the application. 

Medical
An athletic trainer is on duty during all activity periods. There will be access to a medical doctor and emergency medical facilities in case of emergencies. The athletic trainer will determine whether to seek emergency treatment.



About WashU Basketball

The Washington University in St. Louis women's basketball team has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success at the NCAA Division III level. The Bears have won five NCAA Division III National Championships, including four straight from 1998-2001.

Head women's basketball coach Randi Henderson is the the Coordinator of the WashU Girls Basketball Camp.

Coach Henderson has accumulated an overall record of 212-116 in 12 seasons as a NCAA Division III head coach, following her first two years with the Bears in which she has led WashU to a 41-15 mark, the 2019 University Athletic Association (UAA) Title and multiple NCAA Tournament berths including a run to the Sectional Championship in 2019.
